I love incorporating bits and pieces of Moroccan inspired décor into traditional or eclectic rooms. Romantic lanterns, warm colors, and detailed patterns can add much-needed personality to a dull room.
Use low slung seating and lots of colorful pillows for a Moroccan vibe regardless of your color palate. This lounge sectional from PB Teen (yes, TEEN!) is a perfect example, and it’s also on sale.
Get a soft glow from glass or metal Moroccan-inspired lanterns. Hang them alone or in multiples for added drama.
These tables are neutral enough to go with many types of décor, but they pack an extra dose of Moroccan detail. Both vivaterra.com and worldmarket.com have several of options.
Elaborate wood carvings are a common element in Moroccan design, but custom or vintage pieces can cost a bundle. These two beautiful and more affordable options are available via Home Decorators Collection and Viva Terra.
The pouf is overdone. If I owned one my dog would probably eat it, but seriously they are no longer cute. What is not overdone is a hookah, so get a couple of hookahs. A French company called Airdiem makes several different styles that are beautiful for display…or use.
Moroccan inspired spaces don’t have to be littered with rugs or covered in orange paint. Try a modern Moroccan twist.
I want this bathroom. Period.
Meanwhile, back on planet earth, I can use fab tile patterns from Mosaic House to create my own bathroom oasis.
Is it nap time yet?
